The Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery will welcome art lovers for the prestigious and popular Archibald Prize 2023 from 15 September.
As the first stop on the Archibald Prize 2023 regional tour and the only Victorian location, the stunning Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery will host the renowned portrait prize from 15 September to 5 November.
The exhibition will feature an extraordinary display of 57 portraits, featuring figures and cultural identities from all walks of life, reflecting the stories of our times.
Established in 1921, Archibald Prize is now more than a century old and is judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
The display at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery will feature the notable Packing Room Prize 2023 winning portrait of Cal Wilson by artist Andrea Huelin alongside 57 Archibald Prize 2023 finalist works.
There will also be a range of Archibald Prize artist talks, workshops, kids programs, tours and more throughout the exhibition’s run.
