The Heathcote Winegrowers Association are bringing a little taste of their famous Heathcote wine region to the city at the Abbotsford Convent on Saturday 11 May.
The Heathcote wine region, just over an hour from Melbourne, is renowned for its shiraz. Its ancient red Cambrian soils also produces outstanding examples of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and excellent Rieslings and Viognier.
The Heathcote in the City event will feature more than 100 wines available for tasting from wineries include Buckshot Vineyard, Carlei, Ellis Wines, Farmer & The Scientist, Humis Vineyard, M.Chapoutier Australia, Mia Valley Estate, Munari Wines, Noble Red Wines, Pook Road, Red Edge, Rogues Lane Vineyard, Sanguine Estate, Silver Spoon Estate, Sutherland Wine, Tellurian, Vinea Marson and Wren Estate.
This is an opportunity to meet the makers behind some of Heathcote most well-known wines. Wines will be available by the glass and bottle for consumption on the day or to take home.
On the day you can also take a break from tastings and enjoy live music from Bendigo blues and roots musicians on the Mercator Lawn with food and drinks available for purchase.
