Cult baker Black Star Pastry has announced the return of its stunning Starry Night cakes for Mother’s Day.
The Starry Night cake is described as being inspired by traditional cheesecake, but with a twist.
This striking layer cake veiled in midnight hues offers a unique blend of flavors and textures, crafted by the skilled Black Star Pastry chefs.
Featuring a combination of blueberry and lavender mousse, baked cheesecake, and a pistachio dacquoise base, it’s a treat for the senses. Topped with a blueberry and lavender compote, fresh blueberries, and a touch of violet, “Starry Night” promises to make this Mother’s Day unforgettable.
The cake is garnished with a hand painted zigzag like detail, fresh violet flowers, blueberries, and blackberries and topped with blueberry and lavender flavoured stars.
The result is a sensory overload, showcasing the unique combination that floral and fruity flavours create, reminiscent of Black Star’s OG cake, the Strawberry Watermelon.
The Starry Night cake is vailable for collection or delivery Saturday 11th May and Sunday 12th May from the Chadstone, St Kilda and Melbourne CBD stores.
