The Melbourne Racing Club is joining forces with local venues to deliver some amazing foodie opportunities at Caulfield this winter.
The MRC x Local events will feature three-course menus being delivered in The Promenade restaurant at Caulfield on race day that will be curated by some of the best local establishments
The next MRC x Local race day event will be on Saturday 29 June featuring a menu by iconic Prahran establishment, Angus & Bon.
The New York inspired steakhouse is located inside the old Prahran Post Office on Greville Street. The restaurant revolves around rich, smoky flavours, with a menu that celebrates seasonal produce and showcases premium steak cuts sourced from Australia’s finest beef producers.
When they take over The Promenade, Angus & Bon’s menu will have a focus on Australia’s finest local and seasonal produce with a New York-style twist.
Share plates of delicate seafood and enjoy premium cuts of 300g Pinnacle Beef eye and scotch fillet served with heavenly mac & cheese, shoestring fries and mixed-leaf salad. Alternate servings of bourbon & pecan pie and New York style cheesecake will round out the afternoon’s festivities, leaving you longing for more.
The next event on the MRC x Local calendar will be on 13 July when Riseva take over The Promenade.
Riserva is the next step in Melbourne’s growing excitement for European food and wine. Simple seasonal dishes to share, along with an International only wine list, Riserva is the spirit of Europe in Malvern East.
Riserva’s menu in The Promenade will be a demonstration of bona-fide European cuisine. Riserva focaccia and polenta chips will start the afternoon’s proceedings, with alternating Lobster Taco and Beetroot Ravioli to follow.
Alternating homemade pipe rigate Ossobucco and pan seared baby barramundi will serve as the main event, with Tiramisu and an elegant meringue with vanilla Chantilly custard to finish.
