Melburnians can celebrate the achievements of Victoria’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes on their return from Paris at an event on Saturday 14 September.
A welcome home parade is being held at Melbourne Park Oval from 3:30pm, where fans of all ages can have the opportunity to meet and interact with our latest batch of sporting legends who have just performed on the world stage.
There will also be heaps of entertainment including live sport activations, DJ performances, food trucks and more.
Australia won a total of 53 medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including 18 gold, 19 silver and 16 bronze – making it our most successful Olympics in terms of gold medals won.
Our Paralympic athletes are still working hard in Paris, before the event comes to a close on 8 September 2024.
