She played a one-off show at the MCG in March 2020 as part of the Women’s T20 World Cup cricket final (Melbourning was in attendance and thoroughly enjoyed the show). She also popped in to Melbourne in February this year to play at a private event at billionaire Anthony Pratt’s Melbourne mansion Raheen – with the likes of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in attendance.
The globally recognised pop singer, songwriter, and television personality had her breakthrough came with her 2008 single “I Kissed a Girl,” which topped charts around the world and sparked conversations for its bold themes.
Her follow-up album, Teenage Dream (2010), solidified her status as a pop icon, producing hit singles like “California Gurls,” “Firework,” and “Last Friday Night.” Perry became the first woman to have five number-one singles from the same album on the Billboard Hot 100.
