Camberwell is set to come alive with Kylie and Dannii Day, a celebration of the Minogue sisters and their strong ties to the area.
The event will take place on Sunday, 20 October from 8am to 12pm at the Rotary Camberwell Sunday Market. Fans of the iconic pop duo can enjoy live entertainment, music, lip-sync performances, trivia, a fashion parade, and a photo wall.
Kylie and Dannii Minogue, who grew up in Camberwell and attended local schools, will be honored through performances by top Melbourne talents such as LollyPop, Brenda Bressed, and Della Katessen.
The day will also feature a special show by Millie Minogue, Melbourne’s most famous Kylie impersonator, and DJ Argonaut spinning hits from both sisters.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Kylie or Dannii for a chance to win exciting prizes. Whether it’s ‘Spinning Around’ Kylie or ‘This Is It’ Dannii, the event promises to bring out the best look-alikes. The day will also feature roving entertainers and activities throughout the market and Camberwell Junction precinct.
A highlight of the day will be the ‘Canine To My World’ puppy parade, inviting dog owners to join in the fun.
Rotary Camberwell Sunday Market spokesperson Kevin Walsh said the celebration of Kylie and Dannii is as much a celebration of the market.
“Rumour has it that Kylie’s stylist found her famous gold hot pants, which she wore in the music video for Spinning Around, right here at the Camberwell Sunday Market,” he said.
“Celebrating both Kylie and Dannii at our wonderful Camberwell Sunday Market, along with our Camberwell Junction community, will be a fun and enjoyable day for everyone.”
