Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Nick Grace Management and Live Nation Australia, is thrilled to announce that Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular is coming to Australia in 2025.
This epic production will debut at the ICC Theatre in Sydney on 30 April, followed by the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne from 14 May, and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre from 28 May for strictly limited performances.
This Arena Spectacular celebrates the 40th anniversary of the London production of Les Misérables, the world’s longest-running musical, which continues to sell out after four decades.
To mark this incredible milestone, Cameron Mackintosh has created the most spectacular arena version of the musical ever staged. Having just opened to rave reviews in the UK and Europe, this production is set to dazzle Australian audiences for five weeks only.
With an innovative design created specifically for large arenas, the production features world-class talent behind the scenes, including Matt Kinley, Paule Constable, Warren Letton, Finn Ross, and sound designer Mick Potter. This breathtaking show features an international cast and orchestra of over 65 performers.
The show stars Alfie Boe and Killian Donnelly, who will alternate in the iconic role of Jean Valjean. Both are renowned musical theatre stars, with Boe becoming a household name after his performance in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Mis. Sharing the role of Javert are Michael Ball and Bradley Jaden, two of the most celebrated stars from previous Les Mis productions.
Fans will also see Australia’s own Marina Prior as Madame Thénardier, alongside the returning Matt Lucas as Thénardier. Other stars include Rachelle Ann Go as Fantine, Jac Yarrow as Marius, and Beatrice Penny-Touré as Cosette.
This arena tour has been years in the making, and the Australian leg promises to be a spectacular event, bringing the beloved story of Les Misérables to new heights.
