Ahead of the highly anticipated Melbourne Art Fair in February 2025, a groundbreaking partnership with luxury fashion brand LOEWE brings a unique artistic collaboration to Australia.
LOEWE’s Melbourne Collins Street store is exclusively exhibiting 20 intricately designed ceramic pieces from Kyoto-based ceramist duo Suna Fujita alongside a fresh series of LOEWE bags, accessories, and ready-to-wear items that have been created in collaboration with the artists.
Known for their intricate, hand-painted miniature scenes, Suna Fujita’s creations feature enchanting characters from ocean creatures to cosmic animals, turning everyday fashion items into whimsical art pieces. This collection, now available in LOEWE stores and online, celebrates a seamless blend of craftsmanship and artistic expression.
“This partnership is a reflection of Melbourne Art Fair and LOEWE’s shared commitment to supporting living artists and creatives, and an exciting precursor to the 18th edition of the Fair, which promises to be one of our most dynamic and anticipated showcases yet,” said Fair Director Melissa Loughnan.
“Melbourne Art Fair is thrilled to partner with LOEWE in celebrating the playful launch of the LOEWE x Suna Fujita collaboration,” she said.
The Melbourne Art Fair, running from 20-23 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will feature 60 galleries and Indigenous art centers, highlighting solo works and ambitious presentations.
This unique preview with LOEWE adds an exciting prelude to the fair, celebrating the beauty of collaborative craftsmanship and giving art enthusiasts a taste of the vibrant fair to come.
The LOEWE x Suna Fujita collection launches in stores and on loewe.com until December 29, 2024.
The Melbourne Art Fair 2025 full artistic program with exhibiting artists will be announced in January 2025. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.melbourneartfair.com.au/tickets.
