Once was not enough for punk rock icons, The Offspring. Fresh off the release of their brand new album Supercharged and their epic one-off performance at The Forum in Melbourne last night, as part of Always Live, the legendary five-piece have officially supercharged their 2025 plans. Today they’ve announced they’ll return down under next May for the The Offspring: Supercharged Worldwide in ’25 Australia tour, supported by Simple Plan.
The jam-packed arena spectacular tour will see them return to Melbourne on Wednesday 7 May 2025 at Rod Laver Arena.
The Offspring, formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California, is a pioneering punk rock band known for its fusion of punk, pop, and alternative rock. Led by Dexter Holland (vocals, guitar) and Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman (guitar), the band gained significant attention with their 1994 album Smash. This record, featuring hits like “Come Out and Play” and “Self Esteem,” became the best-selling album ever released by an independent label.
The band played a major role in the 1990s punk revival alongside bands like Green Day and Rancid. Albums such as Americana (1998), which includes the hit “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy),” showcased their humor and social commentary.
They have sold over 34 million albums worldwide, making them one of punk rock’s most successful acts. The band continues to tour and release music, maintaining their influence on the punk and alternative scenes
With The Offspring’s Always Live intimate one-night-only show in Melbourne selling out in 30 seconds, and Simple Plan’s Australian headline run earlier this year entirely sold out, tickets definitely won’t last long.
Presale starts on 28 November with general on sale to public on 3 December.
