Melbourne is set to host an exciting new cultural experience with the opening of the Museum of Desire on December 7, 2024, in Collingwood.
This adults-only museum reimagines the boundaries of art and play, offering more than 20 immersive installations that celebrate themes of love, pleasure, and desire. Designed to be provocative, fun and inclusive, the museum combines interactive art, AI, and sensory-rich experiences to explore intimacy and self-expression.
Highlights include unique exhibits such as the “Orgasm Harp,” the “Joy Room” featuring a playful ball pit, and a giant neon installation by The Huxleys.
Visitors can also engage with artistic and technological displays like the “Interactive Wall” and the quirky “Confessions of a Photocopier.” With contributions from over 20 local and international artists, the museum is poised to deliver a boundary-pushing yet approachable experience that aims to spark curiosity and conversation.
