- Jólabókaflód (Yule Book Flood) is an Icelandic tradition where books are given on Christmas Eve and recipients then spend the evening reading and drinking hot chocolate. Glen Eira Libraries are celebrating this wonderful tradition and giving away free second-hand books and barista-made coffees and hot chocolates at Carnegie, Bentleigh, Elsternwick and Caulfield Libraries between 10-1 on 24 December.
