The Shirley Burke Theatre in Parkdale kicks off its 2025 season with a powerhouse night of live comedy on Friday 31 January. Curated by legendary comedy programmer Janet A McLeod, this inaugural event by Kingston Arts brings together a stellar lineup of comedic talent from Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Prepare for an unforgettable evening as Dane Simpson, Sammy J, Robyn Reynolds (UK), and Gabby Anderson (NZ) take the stage.
Each comedian comes armed with accolades and appearances on fan-favourite shows like Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You’re Here, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
Headlining the event is Dane Simpson, the storytelling king of Wagga Wagga, whose infectious energy and hilarious tales about his family have won him national acclaim.
Sharing the spotlight is Sammy J, recently departed ABC Radio Melbourne breakfast host and award-winning comedian, satirical genius, and all-around national treasure.
Rising star Robyn Reynolds brings her sharp humour and candid storytelling fresh from the UK, while New Zealand’s Gabby Anderson charms audiences with her quirky observations and warm wit.
