For the first time since their 1991 tour, British dance-rock band EMF is set to electrify Australian audiences in July and August 2025.
In Melbourne, you’ll be able to catch them at The Corner Hotel in Richmond on 7 August.
EMF are an English alternative rock band from Cinderford, Gloucestershire, who came to prominence at the beginning of the 1990s. During their initial eight-year run, from 1989 to 1997, the band released three studio albums before a hiatus.
Best known for their 1990 chart-topping hit “Unbelievable,” which reached No. 8 in Australia and No. 1 in the U.S., EMF’s return marks a significant moment for fans who have awaited their comeback for over three decades.
The band’s debut album, Schubert Dip, also achieved notable success, peaking at No. 44 on the Australian charts.
Though the band’s popularity waned after their initial success, EMF remains iconic for their energetic performances and influential role in the ’90s alternative dance genre.
The band reunited in 2007 and have been steadily doing festivals and live shows in the years since. In 2020, the band released a career-spanning vinyl box set and spent most of 2020 and 2021 celebrating 30 years of EMF.
