Iconic rapper and actor, Ice Cube, has announced two Australian shows in March in Sydney and Melbourne where he’ll play some of the biggest hits in hip hop history.
These dates are: Friday, 7 March Sydney’s ICC Theatre, followed by Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne on Sunday, 9 March.
Ice Cube first gained prominence as a founding member of the legendary rap group NWA, known for their groundbreaking album, Straight Outta Compton. As a solo artist he continued to push boundaries with albums like Death Certificate and The Predator, these releases achieving widespread critical acclaim and cementing his status as a hip hop pioneer.
With more than 10 million albums sold worldwide, Ice Cube remains a cultural icon, celebrated for his raw lyricism, social commentary and enduring influence on both music and film.
As a trailblazer in television and film, through his film and television production company, CubeVision, Ice Cube produced 50 episodes of the hit series “Hip Hop Squares” for VH1 and MTV, and he produced the award-winning, Oscar-nominated biopic “Straight Outta Compton,” which grossed over $200 million worldwide.
His films, collectively, have grossed over $1 billion at the box office, with franchises such as “Friday,” “Barbershop,” “Are We There Yet?,” “21 Jump Street,” and “Ride Along” shaping the landscape of cinema.
