Australian speciality coffee roasters, Toby’s Estate, has opened the doors to its brand-new Fitzroy flagship café in Melbourne.
This is the latest addition to the Toby’s Estate suite of flagship cafés in Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, the Middle East, Indonesia and the Philippines, now giving Melbourne fans of the speciality coffee a full coffee experience delivered the Toby’s way.
Located in Fitzroy, the coffee-centric café will feature all that Toby’s is known for including an array of high-end coffees, single origins, flavour focused blends (flavour savours) and an extensive frozen coffee menu – all in a visually striking setting.
To celebrate the new flagship, Toby’s Estate will be holding a free coffee morning on Saturday 8 February from 9am – 12pm, with a live DJ on the tunes to go with your tasty brew.
According to Jody Leslie, Toby’s Estate General Manager, the new Fitzroy café is designed to make a hero of what they do best, coffee.
“As with all our flagships, coffee is not ancillary to the dining experience, it is the focus, and so the entire venue exists around this as the central focal point,” she says.
“We want our guests to experience the coffee making process firsthand by sitting around our coffee bar or even walking right up next to a barista to see them at work. It’s not your typical functional espresso bar, but rather one that focusses on breaking down the divide between barista and customer.”
More than your new local takeaway coffee haunt, the café also boasts a delicious breakfast and lunch menu along with a retail wing for takeaways. It will also host free monthly tastings for all the unashamed coffee geeks or those looking to level up their coffee game.
