Chadstone Shopping Centre – already Australia and the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest shopping centre – is set to unveil a huge expansion in March.
The Market Pavilion will open on Thursday 27 March 2025, spanning a massive 26,500 square meters—surpassing the size of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This eagerly anticipated addition will house over 50 market-leading retailers, offering everything from everyday essentials to gourmet delights, all under one roof.

“The design and retail offer in The Market Pavilion combines the best of the modern fresh food marketplaces one visits whilst in Europe with the ambience and much-loved brands that are enthusiastically embraced by Melburnians locally – reflecting the quality, variety, and elevated consumer experience which Chadstone is known for,” said Chadstone Centre Manager, Daniel Boyle.

From Blakeaway and Brunetti Oro to Vic’s Meats and That’s Amore Cheesery, the curated mix of vendors caters to every palate.
Whether you’re craving artisanal bagels from Hank’s Bagelry, premium cuts from Vic’s Meats, or a glass of bubbly at the Champagne & Oyster Bar, The Market Pavilion will have it all.
For those seeking convenience, premium guest services like grocery refrigeration storage and AI-generated recipe inspiration from the Market Pavilion’s concierge service will elevate the shopping experience.

Adjoining the precinct, a re-energised Dining Laneway will offer casual all-day dining with 11 outlets, including Master Lanzhou Noodle Bar, Panda Yum Cha, and YX Mini Hotpot. Meanwhile, the new nine-story One Middle Road office tower, set to welcome over 2,000 workers from mid-2025, will add a dynamic layer to Chadstone’s evolution as a 20-minute city hub.

With dedicated parking, interactive experiences at The Kitchen, and a master rebrand marking a new era for Chadstone, The Market Pavilion hoping to be more than a fresh food destination—it aims to be a cultural epicentre. Be among the first to explore it when doors open at 8:30am on 27 March.
