A special pop-up event celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Sims, the iconic life simulation game, is coming to ACMI in Melbourne this month.
This free event on 21 to 23 February will give fans the opportunity to relive the early 2000s with a Y2K-inspired setup designed by Josh & Matt Design, featuring nostalgic elements like blow-up couches and CD towers.
Attendees can play The Sims: Birthday Bundle at dedicated stations and watch live streams from popular Sims creators.
A panel discussion on 22 February will include industry experts such as Mavis Chan from EA/Firemonkeys and ACMI curator Jini Maxwell, exploring the game’s cultural impact over the past quarter-century.
The event will run daily from 10 AM to 5 PM at ACMI in Federation Square.
