A beloved Albert Park landmark is set to be transformed into a vibrant dining and events destination, thanks to a new partnership between Parks Victoria and the Australian Venue Company (AVC).
The iconic site, formerly known as The Point, will reopen as the Albert Park Lake House, offering a fresh culinary and social hub in the heart of one of Melbourne’s most cherished parks.

Located at the northern end of Albert Park Lake, the venue boasts stunning views of the water, the Melbourne skyline, and the bustling sailing area.
AVC will invest $3.4 million to revitalise the space, creating a ground-floor bistro with a balcony for casual dining and a first-level function space perfect for weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings.

“Our partnership with the Australian Venue Company represents a fantastic opportunity to breathe new life into a cherished Albert Park landmark,” said Lyndsey Jackman, Director of Commercial for Parks Victoria.
“The Albert Park Lake House will not only enhance the visitor experience but also ensure this iconic location remains a vibrant and welcoming space for the community to enjoy for years to come.”
With its rich history and breathtaking setting, the Albert Park Lake House is poised to become a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike. Stay tuned for details about its grand reopening.
