2025 marks a monumental milestone for Australian pop icons Bachelor Girl as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Waiting for the Day.
To honour the occasion, Tania Doko and James Roche are embarking on a special anniversary tour, performing the album in its entirety with fresh, reimagined arrangements. The tour will take place in May/June with intimate shows in Brunswick Heads, Melbourne, and Sydney, including a bucket-list performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

“We can’t wait to celebrate this album with you all in person,” said the duo. “It’s going to be an unforgettable ride—so come and relive the magic of Waiting for the Day with us, in a way you’ve never heard before.”
Released in 2000, Waiting for the Day catapulted Bachelor Girl to international fame, earning them an ARIA Award for Producer of the Year and spawning hits like Buses and Trains, Treat Me Good, and Permission to Shine. The album’s success led to major label deals, global tours, and collaborations with legends like John Farnham and The Corrs.
Fans can also look forward to exclusive 25th-anniversary recordings as a special thank-you for their unwavering support.
“We are so incredibly thankful to still be here, sharing our music with all of you,” Tania shared. “Hearing how our songs have carried you through tough times or brought joyous singing car sessions into your life has kept us positively chuffed to this day.”
