This March, menswear designer Christian Kimber, Carlton’s award-winning Bar Bellamy and luxury bourbon whiskey Woodford Reserve are joining forces to launch the Most Fashionable Old Fashioned cocktail collection at the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
From 3 to 8 March, the trio will transform the classic Old Fashioned into two fashion-forward sips, blending Kimber’s design ethos with Bar Bellamy’s mixology mastery.
The Amb Stitch cocktail reflects Australia’s laidback tailoring style, combining Woodford Reserve with corn silk tea, corn stock, and a wattleseed & citrus soda, finished with beetroot, bitters, and wattleseed paint.
In contrast, the Silken Sprig embodies modern fluidity, featuring mountain marigold leaf-infused Woodford Reserve, pineapple syrup, Zucca Rabarbaro amaro, and a caramelised milk chocolate & malt cream dusted with pepperberry & rosella salt.
“Effortless style relies on incredibly thoughtful design,” says Kimber. “It was a pleasure working with Woodford Reserve and Bar Bellamy to create two drinks that reflect my design philosophy, blending beautifully crafted whiskey with uniquely local ingredients.”
Bar Bellamy’s Oska Whitehart adds, “Translating Christian’s signature aesthetic into a cocktail was a creative challenge, but his style feels right at home at Bar Bellamy. We’ve taken the heart of an Old Fashioned and made it something familiar yet completely new.”
Shaken, stirred, and styled to perfection, the Most Fashionable Old Fashioned collection will be available at the Woodford Reserve Fashion Bar in the Fashion Forecourt at the Royal Exhibition Building as well as at Bar Bellamy.
