The Lemonheads are heading back to Australia in May 2025 for a special tour – “It’s A Shame About Come On Feel” – playing two of their most loved albums, It’s a Shame About Ray (1992) and Come On Feel the Lemonheads (1993).
Frontman Evan Dando and the band will perform both albums from start to finish, bringing to life the songs that defined the ‘90s and still strike a chord today. The tour will kick off here in Melbourne at the Croxton Bandroom on Friday 16 May.

This tour is a rare opportunity to experience these iconic records live, just as they were meant to be heard, with all the raw emotion and sharp songwriting that made The Lemonheads a standout act of their time.
The Lemonheads, formed in 1986, are an iconic alternative rock ban known for their blend of punk energy, melodic hooks, and introspective lyrics, they became a defining act of the 1990s.
Dando spent significant time in Australia during the 1990s, often touring and collaborating with Australian musicians. In a statement on social media, he wrote about his excitement to return down under: “I am wicked happy to be coming back to Australia to play the two LPs written on your sparkling continent,” he said.
Fans can look forward to hearing classic tracks like “Into Your Arms”, “Big Gay Heart”, “It’s About Time”, and “My Drug Buddy”. These albums are packed with some of the best moments of ‘90s alternative music, and now they’ll be played live in full, with crowds singing along to every word.
