Victoria is gearing up to host the nation’s brightest young football talent as the 2025 Emerging Socceroos Championships return to the Home of the Matildas at Bundoora in Melbourne.
From 6 to 11 July, the tournament will showcase the country’s top Under 15 and Under 16 male players, with teams from Football Australia’s nine State and Territory Member Federations competing for the national title.
Formerly known as the National Youth Championships, this event is a cornerstone of Australia’s football talent pathway. Many current Socceroos, including Jordan Bos, Rhyan Grant, Harry Kewell, and Kye Rowles, began their journeys at this very tournament.
Football Australia CEO James Johnson said, “We’re thrilled to be returning to the Home of the Matildas in Melbourne, this time for the 2025 Emerging Socceroos Championships.”
” After successfully hosting the 2024 Girls’ tournament, we are delighted to once again experience these state-of-the-art facilities in the Victorian capital, where the country’s brightest young talent will be looking to impress for future national team honours,” he said.
The Championships not only provide a platform for young players to showcase their skills but also offer opportunities for coaches, officials, and technical staff to develop their expertise.
Fixtures and further details will be announced in the coming months.
