UK indie icons Bloc Party are marking two decades of groundbreaking music with a special Australian tour this August. Presented by Destroy All Lines and Double J, the tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Silent Alarm, with the band performing the record in full alongside a selection of their greatest hits.
In Melbourne you can catch them at John Cain Arena on Sunday 3 August 2025.
Fans can expect electrifying renditions of classics like ‘Banquet’, ‘Helicopter’, ‘This Modern Love’, and ‘Flux’, as well as tracks from their six-album discography. Joining them as special guests are American indie rockers Young The Giant, ensuring a night of unforgettable music across all five shows.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2003 with their breakout single ‘She’s Hearing Voices’, Bloc Party has become a global phenomenon, headlining festivals like Glastonbury and selling out venues worldwide. Their 2007 album A Weekend in the City peaked at #2 on both the UK and ARIA charts, cementing their status as indie rock royalty.
“We’re thrilled to return to Australia and celebrate this milestone with our fans,” said frontman Kele Okereke. “Performing Silent Alarm in full is a way to honour where it all began and share those memories with everyone who’s been part of our journey.”
Pre-sale tickets go live Wednesday, March 19, with general sale starting Friday, March 21. Don’t miss this chance to witness Bloc Party’s iconic sound live. Sign up for pre-sale access and grab your tickets via Destroy All Lines.
