For one unforgettable evening on 6 April 2025, Salsjö’s latest work, 26 Halifax Street: coded movements for Billilla (2024-25), will premiere, blending a unique musical score for strings and percussion with stunning light projections of her intricate working drawings.
Salsjö, celebrated for her ability to translate architecture into art, has previously brought iconic structures like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Federation Square to life through her innovative compositions. Now, she turns her talents to Billilla, weaving its rich history and architectural beauty into a multisensory masterpiece.
Built in 1878, Billilla is striking Art Nouveau-style Edwardian manor. From 6pm to 8pm, the mansion’s façade will be illuminated with Salsjö’s mesmerising projections, while timed performances at 6:30pm, 7pm, and 7:30pm will bring her musical score to life.
