Melbourne is set for an electrifying cricket season, with Cricket Australia unveiling its 2025-26 international schedule, featuring the historic Men’s Ashes Boxing Day Test and high-octane clashes against India. The action-packed summer will see world-class cricket across three major Melbourne matches from October 2025 to March 2026.
The NRMA Insurance Boxing Day Test against England headlines the season, marking the first Men’s Ashes Test at the MCG since 2017-18.
Cricket Victoria CEO Nick Cummins anticipates record crowds: “With a large population of English and Indian supporters in Melbourne, we are expecting the atmosphere to be electric, with attendance and viewership records to be broken once again.”
India’s men’s team returns for a T20I showdown at the MCG on October 31, while the summer concludes with a Women’s ODI against India at CitiPower Centre on March 1, 2026.
“We’re looking to pack out the venue for what should be a memorable moment in the Junction Oval’s storied history,” Cummins added.
The 2025-26 cricket season runs nationwide from August through March, with matches in 11 cities. For Victorian fans, these three marquee fixtures promise unforgettable cricket moments amid fierce international rivalries.
