Federation Square is giving families and film enthusiasts the opportunity to immerse themselves in the enchanting worlds of Studio Ghibli during the Studio Ghibli Afternoons.
From 14-17 April, starting at 2 pm daily, the Main Square will host a mini-film festival with free back-to-back screenings of some of the studio’s most beloved films.
The lineup features classics such as Castle in the Sky, Howl’s Moving Castle, Pom Poko, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbour Totoro, The Cat Returns, Whisper of the Heart, and the Academy Award-winning Spirited Away. Each film offers a journey into imaginative storytelling and stunning animation that have captivated audiences worldwide.
Attendees can relax in provided deckchairs or bring their own picnic rugs and camping chairs to enjoy the films comfortably. This event provides a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Studio Ghibli on the big screen in an open-air setting, making it an ideal outing for the school holidays.
