Costco has officially opened its newest Australian warehouse in Ardeer today – 9 April 2025. Located at 740 Ballarat Road, this expansive 16,000-square-metre facility offers a vast array of products and services, aiming to provide exceptional value to its members.
The Ardeer warehouse replaces Costco’s inaugural Australian location in Docklands, which ceased operations yesterday to ensure a seamless transition for members. This move underscores Costco’s commitment to serving Melbourne’s dynamic and fast-growing western suburbs.
Members can explore thousands of brand-name products across various categories, including groceries, electronics, jewelry, homewares, and cleaning supplies. Specialty departments such as a bakery, meat, produce, deli, Optical, Hearing Aid Centre, Tyre Centre, and food court enhance the shopping experience. Unique “wow” items, like a 100-inch Hisense smart TV, Segway Go Kart Pro 2, and a two-person infrared sauna, are also available, offering exclusive deals during the opening week.
The site features Costco’s largest Australian fuel station, operational since early March, with 38 filling positions offering ULP 91, premium 98, and premium diesel. Members have praised the consistently low fuel prices and the positive impact on local competition.
This $118 million investment has generated over 2,000 construction jobs and provides permanent employment for more than 300 people, reflecting Costco’s dedication to the Ardeer community.
Costco Ardeer operates Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The fuel station is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
