The Good Things Festival has officially confirmed its return for 2025, with dates locked in across Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane during the first weekend of December. The announcement offers a bright spot for Australia’s live music scene, which has recently seen several major festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Groovin the Moo cancel their 2025 editions.
The festival’s promoter, Chris O’Brien of Destroy All Lines, has guaranteed the event’s return, emphasizing the importance of delivering quality lineups and experiences to maintain audience support.
Last year’s festival featured a lineup headlined by Korn, with performances from Sum 41, Violent Femmes, Jet, and Sleeping with Sirens, among others. Despite challenges, including Sum 41’s withdrawal due to illness, the festival continued to thrive.
While the 2025 lineup is yet to be announced, fans can expect a mix of legacy acts and emerging talent from the punk, metal, and alternative scenes. The festival’s history of hosting comeback performances, such as TISM’s return in 2022 after a 19-year hiatus, adds to the anticipation.
Tickets, venue locations and further information will be available through the official Good Things Festival website and social media channels.
