Back in 1997, Australia was mesmerised by the global dance phenomenon known as Riverdance. From its inaugural appearance on our stages, this captivating blend of Irish and international dance, music, and stunning visuals captivated audiences’ hearts.
The explosive energy and unmatched precision of the dancers and musicians left spectators in sheer amazement, solidifying Riverdance as a cultural sensation. Riverdance achieved incredible success in Australia, embarking on five tours from 1997 to 2012 and selling an astounding 830,000 tickets!
Now, Riverdance is headed back down under! The critically acclaimed Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show has been touring the world since 2020, enjoying sold-out runs in the US, UK, Dubai, and a triumphant return to Dublin, Ireland in 2022 and 2023, setting new records.
It will be coming to Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on 6-8 April 2024.
Composer Bill Whelan has reimagined his mesmerizing soundtrack, while producer Moya Doherty and director John McColgan have transformed the groundbreaking show with innovative lighting, video effects, stage designs, and costumes.
