Tesselaar KaBloom Festival of Flowers is returning to the Dandenong Ranges this autumn from 23 March – 21 April 2024.
KaBloom offers visitors the chance to roam through fields of well over three million flowers, enjoy live entertainment and be enchanted by contemporary circus performances.
Visitors will be treated to a show like no other as flower fairies, sprites and pixies emerge from the magical woods to delight and entertain. The troupe of sensational circus artists from Circus Oz will perform daredevil feats, to amuse and entertain taking you on a journey of discovery of the weird and wonderful world of nature.
Across five weeks visitors will be able to experience and enjoy a glorious range of flowers on full display across an area around one and half times the size of the MCG. Visitors can wander amongst more than 10,000m2 fields of wildflowers to nail that perfect Instagram shot.
Autumn blooms in the fields include brilliant blue salvias, hot pink calibrachoas, delightful dahlias, towering sunflowers, magical marigolds, popular poppies, stunning snapdragons, charming cleomes, darling delphiniums, heavenly hollyhocks, dazzling dianthus and many more.
Paul Tesselaar is a third-generation flower farmer, he grew up among the buzz of the Tesselaar Tulip Festival and says: “It is amazing to continue the family tradition and bring the beauty of the blooms to people twice a year. There is nothing else like it in Australia and it is wonderful to see the smiles on people’s faces as they immerse themselves in nature”.
Kids will be enchanted by the KaBloom characters, including Flower Fairies, Teague the Storyteller and many more school holiday activities.
Visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy an amazing selection of local and international food trucks on site or are welcome to soak up the floral visions at KaBloom with a picnic of their own.
