Australian rock legend Ian Moss is embarking on a highly anticipated headlining tour, marking a fresh chapter in his solo career following the conclusion of Cold Chisel’s Big Five-O tour next month.
Titled One Guitar, One Night Only, the tour promises an intimate and powerful experience, with Moss performing across two sets, accompanied by a trio of musicians. He’ll be playing a show at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Saturday 31 March 2025.
A career of enduring success
Ian Moss, who began his solo journey in 1986, remains a formidable presence in the music scene. His eighth solo album, Rivers Run Dry, released in July 2023, entered the ARIA Albums Chart Top 20, a testament to his enduring artistry. The album features standout tracks like ‘Nullabor Plain’, ‘Open Your Eyes’, and the evocative title track, blending Moss’s signature vocals and guitar work with deeply resonant themes.
In addition to his solo achievements, Moss has continued his collaborative work with Cold Chisel. He provided co-lead vocals on the band’s recent single ‘You’ve Got To Move’, released alongside their compilation album 50 Years – The Best Of.
A year of live performances
Moss’s 2024 calendar has been packed with remarkable live appearances both at home and abroad. He kicked off the year at the iconic Tamworth Country Music Festival before embarking on a four-month Australian tour, which included a celebrated performance at Bluesfest. Mid-year, Moss brought his music to international audiences with shows in Glasgow and London, showcasing his talent on a global stage.
