Unique grey gelato has returned to M Pavilion by popular demand this summer and is available until Saturday 22 March.
This intriguing dessert, part of the “Escala de Cinzas (Greyscale)” project by Brazilian artist João Loureiro and local gelateria Piccolina.
The project, which first appeared at MPavilion in December 2024, offers six different shades of grey gelato, ranging from light grey to almost black. The catch? None of the flavuors are labeled, and visitors must choose their gelato based on color alone. This playful twist challenges the senses and adds an element of mystery to the experience.
This year they are offering six different flavours to last year.
Gelato enthusiasts can enjoy one scoop for $6.50, two scoops for $8.50, or three scoops for $10.50 in their grey cone or cup. While there are no tasters available, a dairy-free option and accommodations for allergies will be provided where possible.
The grey gelato provides a unique and artistic treat for visitors to Queen Victoria Gardens. The collaboration between Loureiro and Piccolina continues to captivate audiences with its innovative approach to gelato-making, using traditional Italian techniques and fresh ingredients to create these distinctive flavuors.
