Prepare for a delightful day out as Rippon Lea Estate in Elsternwick hosts its 35th Annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Sunday 23 February.
Families are invited to pack a picnic, bring their favourite teddy bears or soft toys, and enjoy a day filled with fun and entertainment in the beautiful gardens of the historic Rippon Lea mansion.
There will be a variety of activities for all ages, including fairground rides , face painting, craft activities, lawn games, and live music from a brass band. Attendees can also explore market stalls from Rose Street Market and enjoy delicious food from various vendors, including a sausage sizzle by the Carnegie Lions Club.
A highlight of the day will be the live reading of Elm & Willow’s Adventures at Rippon Lea: Teddy Bears’ Picnic – a charming story about two bear friends exploring the estate’s magical gardens.
Families cn then go on the Elm & Willow Adventure Trail – an interactive journey through the grounds. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, with opportunities to meet the author, Matt Chester, for a special signing.
